IKCO Launched Indigenous Sedan Runna

Runna is second IKCO-brand car designed to improve IKCO brand and platforms.

Javad Najmeddin IKCO CEO in this regard said, "IKCO Runna conforms to the latest global standard requirements governing emission, safety, powertrain, durability and quality of parts."
He said' "Runna is the first IKCO-brand car in segment C. It will be produced in nine different types."
He then emphasized that market studies show that most Iranian car buyers look for C-class sedans, i.e. mid-size family cars. It is one of IKCO’s most inexpensive products.
"Runna is outfitted with driver and front passenger airbags, antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), four-wheel disc brake system, air conditioner, front power windows, electric wing mirrors, immobilizer and remote control", Najmeddin added.
The CEO reiterated that the production line will start with the capacity of 15 cars an hour that would run up to 25 within 18 months.
IKCO CEO said, "Iran Khodro Industrial Dies (IKID) designed and developed body dies for Runna."
Prior to this, only Japan, U.S., South Korea and some European countries were enjoying car body heavy dies design and development technology. Najmeddin added that this movement brought about a 10 million Euro exchange saving.
Najmeddin pointed out that currently IKCO is 90 percent self- reliant in production of Runna and aims to achieve 100 percent self-reliance in the second half of the year.
