IKCO to Produce 20,000 Cars in Mazandaran Plant

IKCO Mazandaran aims to produce and market 20 thousand passenger cars this year.

According to Seyyed Omid Hosseini Nejad, IKCO Mazandaran CEO, the company will produce Peugeot Pars and Sarir (Samand Limousine).
IKCO Mazandaran has produced 17 thousand cars since the beginning of its operation. The plant's current output is about 10 cars an hour.
IKCO Mazandaran is IKCO's third domestic plant that started running in September 2010. The company's net profit totaled about one million Euros last fiscal year.
In line with the decentralization policy of the government (pushing the industries out of the capital), IKCO has already started to establish production sites across the country.
IKKCO (Iran Khodro Khorassan) was IKCO's first out of the capital production site, established in Khorassan province (North East of Iran) in 2004. IKKCO production capacity is 150,000 cars a year. Furthermore, IKCO established Iran Khodro Tabriz in 2007 and Iran Khodro Mazandaran in 2010. The production capacities of these two sites amount to 100 and 15 thousand cars per annum respectively.
