IKCO to Increase Production in Iraq

In the meeting of Iraqi political and economic officials with IKCO top managers, both parties insisted on development of automotive cooperation between Iran and Iraq.

During the meeting, Javad Najmeddin, the CEO said that IKCO is the biggest car manufacturer in the Middle East. It has high level of capabilities and is ready to expand cooperation with neighboring countries.   
"Introducing its brand and exporting cars through its own sales network is the most important strategy in IKCO's global sales activities, said Najmeddin and added, "Creating new production plants in other countries plays a key role in introducing IKCO brand to the world".
He then referred to Iran's neighboring countries and especially to Iraq as IKCO's strategic target markets. 
Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Rosh Nori Shawis, praised IKCO capabilities in design and development of products.
He also alluded to the existing potential fields of cooperation between IKCO and its automotive counterparts in Iraq and called for a wider cooperation between these companies.
Following a visit to IKCO production lines, Deputy Prime Minister said that IKCO is working at global standard level and that’s why Iraq is eager to expand cooperation with this great industry group. 
Minister of Industry Ahmed Naser al-Karbouli too, expressed Iraq interest in mutual industrial cooperation between two countries and said that he had had a meeting with Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade on the same topic.
At the end, Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and their high-ranking trade delegation paid a visit to IKCO production lines.
